Digital subscription cards for Australian venues

A digital subscription card is prepaid visits in your customer's Apple Wallet or Google Wallet: ten coffees or five cuts bought up front, counted down as they are used. The venue gets cash today; the customer gets a better price and a locked-in habit.

What the card actually looks like

Every part of it is yours. Here is the anatomy, numbered:

YOUR VENUE

Two visits left on your pass.

YOUR VENUEMember

6 of 10 visits left

RewardReload deal
  1. 1Your name, your logo, your colours. The card is branded as yours, never as ours.
  2. 2The prepaid countdown. Each scanned visit takes one off.
  3. 3The reward line. What they are working toward, always visible.
  4. 4The barcode. Staff scan it from a phone you already own; that is the whole till-side workflow.
  5. 5Push notifications come from this card, so your campaigns reach the lock screen without an app.

How a subscription card works in your venue

  1. 01

Your customer buys a bundle up front, usually at a better per-visit price.

  2. 02

The card counts down: staff scan it and one visit comes off the balance.

  3. 03

When the last one is used, the card invites them to reload.

Ten coffees, paid on Monday

A cafe sells ten flat whites for the price of nine, prepaid. The money is in the till before the coffee is poured, and for the next ten visits the buyer's default cafe is decided. Reloads are where the habit becomes an income line you can predict.

Questions about subscription cards

What happens to unused visits on a prepaid subscription card?

That is set by your own terms, agreed at setup and stated on the card: bundles can run indefinitely or carry an expiry, and Australian Consumer Law sets minimums for how long prepaid value must stay usable. We set the terms with you so the card is generous enough to sell and safe to honour.

How much cheaper should the prepaid bundle be than paying per visit?

Enough to feel like a deal, not enough to hurt: one free unit in ten is the classic shape, like ten coffees for the price of nine. The discount is not the point. The point is that the next ten decisions about where to go have already been made, and paid for.

Do customers need to download an app to use a JustTap loyalty card?

No. A JustTap loyalty card installs directly into the Apple Wallet or Google Wallet already on your customer's phone, so there is no app to download and no account or password to create. Your customer fills in a short signup form once, and the card appears in their wallet in about twenty seconds.

Do customers join a JustTap program by tapping or by scanning?

Both work, and either one installs the same wallet card. The JustTap counter card uses NFC, so most phones join with a tap. The window poster carries a scannable code for phones that will not tap and for customers who would rather scan. Nobody gets turned away at the counter.
