Digital discount cards for Australian venues
A digital discount card gives your regulars a standing discount that lives in their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet instead of being forgotten in an inbox. Because it is always on their phone, it does the one thing a promo email cannot: it is present at the moment they decide where to go.
What the card actually looks like
Every part of it is yours. Here is the anatomy, numbered:
YOUR VENUE
Your offer ends Sunday.
Free pastry with any coffeeends Sunday
- 1Your name, your logo, your colours. The card is branded as yours, never as ours.
- 2The offer, stated plainly, with its expiry in plain sight.
- 3The reward line. What they are working toward, always visible.
- 4The barcode. Staff scan it from a phone you already own; that is the whole till-side workflow.
- 5Push notifications come from this card, so your campaigns reach the lock screen without an app.
How a discount card works in your venue
- 01
Your customer joins with a tap and the card states their discount plainly.
- 02
Staff scan the card at the till and apply the discount. Nothing for anyone to remember or type.
- 03
The discount can step up as they visit more, so your best customers get your best price.
Members pay less on the quiet days
A bubble tea shop runs 10% for members on weekdays. The card makes the discount feel owned rather than found, and owned discounts get used: it is their card, their deal, their shop.

Questions about discount cards
What is the difference between a discount card and a coupon?
A discount card is standing: the member's price is simply lower, every time, for as long as you choose. A coupon is a one-off: a single offer that is redeemed once and disappears. Discounts build a habit; coupons trigger a visit. Many venues run both.
Does a standing discount card just give away margin to people who would come anyway?
That is the right question to ask, and it is why the discount is set with us during setup rather than guessed. A standing discount works when it is tied to behaviour you want, like weekday visits or a higher tier, so the margin you give up buys visits you were not getting.
Do customers need to download an app to use a JustTap loyalty card?
No. A JustTap loyalty card installs directly into the Apple Wallet or Google Wallet already on your customer's phone, so there is no app to download and no account or password to create. Your customer fills in a short signup form once, and the card appears in their wallet in about twenty seconds.
Do customers join a JustTap program by tapping or by scanning?
Both work, and either one installs the same wallet card. The JustTap counter card uses NFC, so most phones join with a tap. The window poster carries a scannable code for phones that will not tap and for customers who would rather scan. Nobody gets turned away at the counter.
