Privacy
Two different groups of people give us information: the venues who buy JustTap, and their customers who join a loyalty program. We treat those differently, and this page explains how.
Not yet final. This page sets out our actual intentions in plain English. The formal document has not been drafted or reviewed by an Australian lawyer, and it must be before the site goes live. Nothing here is a substitute for that.
What we collect from venues
Your venue name, your Google Business Profile link, your email address, and your billing details. We collect this because we cannot set up your program or invoice you without it.
What is collected from your customers
When someone joins your loyalty program they provide a name and a small number of details, which are used to issue their wallet card and to send them messages about your program. That data belongs to your venue, not to us.
Australian privacy law
Personal information is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you have a complaint about how information has been handled, tell us first and we will address it.
Consent and unsubscribes
Every customer opts in when they join, and every message we send on your behalf carries an unsubscribe. This is a requirement of the Spam Act 2003 and it is not optional, for us or for you.
We do not sell data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your customer list, and we do not use one venue's customer data to market to another venue.
Leaving, and taking your list
If you cancel, we export your customer list to you. We then retain only what we are legally required to keep for tax and accounting purposes.
Where data is stored
The wallet platform stores customer records. We will publish the specific hosting arrangements and data locations on this page before launch.
Questions about any of this go to [email protected].
