How long does a digital gift certificate stay valid in Australia?
Australian Consumer Law requires most gift cards and certificates sold to be valid for at least three years, and the expiry must be shown clearly. A JustTap certificate carries its expiry on the card itself, in the recipient's wallet, so nobody finds out at the counter.
What happens if the bill is more or less than the certificate's value?
If the bill is bigger, the recipient pays the difference like any other customer, and most do. If it is smaller, the remaining balance stays on the certificate in their wallet for next time, which quietly turns one gifted visit into two.
Do customers need to download an app to use a JustTap loyalty card?
No. A JustTap loyalty card installs directly into the Apple Wallet or Google Wallet already on your customer's phone, so there is no app to download and no account or password to create. Your customer fills in a short signup form once, and the card appears in their wallet in about twenty seconds.
Do customers join a JustTap program by tapping or by scanning?
Both work, and either one installs the same wallet card. The JustTap counter card uses NFC, so most phones join with a tap. The window poster carries a scannable code for phones that will not tap and for customers who would rather scan. Nobody gets turned away at the counter.
